The unfairness of a two tiered justice system is the point. While I have done 87 (or more) in a 70 numerous times, I have never had a judge do me the "favor" of fixing a ticket for me. Likewise I'm quite sure that if you or I did kill someone while speeding we would be in for a slightly longer sentence than 90 days. One wonders how quickly this Lt. Gov. would have tried to straighten this fixed ticket out if someone hadn't brought it into the pubic realm. VWW

OJ escaping justice is a fairly isolated incident. I have a feeling that our "privileged" political class escapes justice fairly often, and the more that the public squawks about it the less likely they are to pass stupid laws that don't seem to apply to them. VWW

The police and the other alphabet law enforcemnet agencies are just the enforcement arm of the politilcal class, however if they are getting away with breaking the law they certainly seem to have privileges that you and I don't. Don't they? VWW

I'm not too sure that my libertine belief system would mesh too well with enforcing malum prohibitum dictates. VWW
