I'm in love. My next rig is going to be a sport touring, and this looks like it's gonna be a slam dunk. Can't wait for the review!

Especially if Kawi avoids the "order/down payment without looking at or test riding or seeing the bike" system that Yamaha currently uses.

But really, imagine rolling up in what looks like cutting edge 1985 motorcycle technology than using the 100+ foot lbs of torque to pull away and wheelie past the squid trash.

I love the concept a "sporty sport tourer". The styling (or lack thereof) is what kills me. That muffler is hideous! Testarossa meets godzilla!

Because it is sport tourer, no one will make a nice looking replacement. The headlights are another eyesore. I'm sure that the engine will kick butt. What worries me is that the thing will be ugly and weigh a ton.

The BMW has the style, but comes in "Grandpa" colors and cost as much as my loaded Mustang GT

My hope is for a 1000cc VFR that weighs under 500 lbs wet...hey, I can dream!

They already make a 1000cc+ VFR. It's called the SprintST. It's an improvement because it doesn't have the ridiculous variable valve timing.

Looks pretty good to me except for the stupid grill lines and the dumbass variable valve timing overcomplexity.

Not that music, please!!

Fun videos. High quality geek porn (somebody pass me the kleenex). But did they have to use Eye of the Tiger as the theme song? That would have been stale for the release of the last concours.

As bike become more and more reliable, it is a must to put in more complex structures to ensure extended warranty purchases.

I don't understand what a supposed wonderful advantage it is to move the valve opening point forward when you are closing them earlier as well. You get no extra duration. Seems sort of pointless. The VFR doersn't show any real improvement in power or torque with the variable cam timing. Didn't the power go down, actually?

Better wait a year to buy one.... don't want to be a beta tester.

As long as Kawasaki doesn't make the incredibly stupid mistake of installing CAN buses like Beemer did.

or better yet....

Buy a ZX-14, add on some saddlebags, maybe a top triple clamp with better handlebars, put a tire gauge in your toolkit and have a sporttourer without the de-cojones treatment.

I'm still pissed at Kawasaki for no longer importing the W650. I got rid of my ST1100 to simplify my life. I can't imagine having this thing in the garage. I'm sure it love the beast I were related to a mechanic.
