At first I thought that it's good to have more competition, but Kymco's 250 Venox is a thousand bucks more than the Honda 250 Rebel! What are they thinking?

For only $800 bucks more....

Well, in their defense, Venox has 28 horses and the Rebel has about 18. But for the price you might as well get a used KLR or a Ninja500 for a first bike.

... you get a Zooker DR650! A Ninja 250 is $1400 less!

Is Kymco the Taiwanese BMW wannabe comonay?

Uh.....

Well I wouldn't own one, if they're anything like most mass produced Chinese products they'll be of questionable quality at best. Beside they seem to be bent on following Mao's edict of selling us the rope we hang ourselves with in the form of lead painted toys for our kids, rat poisoned food for our pets, fly ash based acid rain from their coal plants and christ knows what else.

They can have it, I'm not some rabid xenophobic protectionist but come on now, they're not going to do it on my coin if I can help it......

...Kymco is Taiwan based, not mainland. A world of difference as far as quality goes. Not too long ago Taiwan's GNP was greater than Red China's. I've been there a couple of times. Great people. Not nearly as xenophobic as the Red Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Phillippinos... well insert any Asian country.
