there are TONS of bike that are lower to the ground and as easy to ride or EASIER than the buell.
but if her heart is set on a buell, then get one. especially if there is a good dealer in your area. i personally think the dealer is more important than the make.
i believe it is possible to buy a buell and have minimal problems with it. but i also think it is highly unlikely that it will be as trouble-free as, say, a honda or a suzuki.
ya pays yer money and ya takes your choice. the buell is loaded with character but you may have to belly up to the parts counter more often than you'd like.
personally, i favor reliability over "character." if i were you i'd get an suzuki sv650, get a lowered corbin seat, a nice exhaust system, and go riding. but that's just me. i prefer roostin' over wrenchin'.
