Who really cares about AMA racing. Seems like each manufacturer has staked their claim in a class, and that is the championship they win. Suzuki wins Superbike, so great, this year it was a different rider.



Seems to me you can just about guess who will win the championship before the season begins, because there are only a handful of guys who are going to win any given race. Perhaps they can just combine all of the classes into one great big cage match of a race. That would be interesting.

I suspect you could put Rossi on a Big Wheel and he would still find a way to win a race or two. He could even use the spin out handle to do some tricks on the front straight.

I have been to a few AMA races. Seems to me half the people go so they ride their sport bikes around on congested access roads. Maybe they think there are really hot chicks there who really give a sh*t how clean their ZX-6 is. Heck, I swear half the guys who go to those races actually believe the only difference between themselves and Matt Mladin is luck. That's why they have to go really fast when going home. Just to prove they too are national caliber riders.



I gave up on going to the races a long time ago. Figured I would rather go for a ride myself, than watch a few factory guys and a handful privateers "race".
