So what are you saying? Those who have won a certain amount of races/championships have to ride privateer, while the new guys get to ride the factory equipment? I want to see Rossi ride privateer and still win a championshiop, but its all about money and you don't get paid riding privateer. If I was good enough to get a spot on a factory team, I wouldn't give up that paycheck.

While I understand and almost agree completely I must say I'd change only one thing. Rossi impressed with his advancement through the ranks of GP then moving to Yamaha after success with Honda. Brother Nick went from a single AMA championship to MotoGP. How's that for a challenge?!?

OK. One more thing. WERA would be the Little League. AMA would be the Minor League. Go <a href="http://www.travs.com"> Arkansas Travelers!

I have been to a few AMA races. Seems to me half the people go so they ride their sport bikes around on congested access roads. Maybe they think there are really hot chicks there who really give a sh*t how clean their ZX-6 is. Heck, I swear half the guys who go to those races actually believe the only difference between themselves and Matt Mladin is luck. That's why they have to go really fast when going home. Just to prove they too are national caliber riders.

I gave up on going to the races a long time ago. Figured I would rather go for a ride myself, than watch a few factory guys and a handful privateers "race".
