Aerostitch Stereo Helmet Speakers, and Aerostitch Boostaroo (or the Radio Shack equivalent) with your walkman and earplugs. A buddy & I both used the same setup on a 3800+ mile trip to the Pikes Peak races. Worked great, and it's a fairly economical option. I can also recommend the Sangean brand radios that Aerostitch sells (get them from Amazon to save about $10). Their tuning buttons have a seek feature and they automatically lock in the strongest signal.
