Seriously though, I guess I'd have to agree with Sean. Even the new rider on the Harley may have been taking risks that were a little too high in general - I don't know how fast he happened to be going, but I know I routinely see guys going down two-lane rural roads at night as fast as they would during the day. Now maybe some guys have much better night perception than I do, but I'll say that for me I tend to back off some at night, finding my ability to judge exact distances and speeds not as precise in darkness than in the light of day, not to mention making reading the road ahead of you from a long way off that much harder. I believe it's called "out-riding your headlights".

Lemme get this straight. So the Dyna is not underpowered because if you buy some tune-up parts you get as much power than a 30-year old Jap bike of half the size?

Hey I have a stock Fat Boy and swopping bikes the other day with a Triumph Thunderbird owner was truly bloody EMBARRASING. I knew there would be some difference but...

Re: Defending British Motojournalist and Html for Dummies

The engines are certainly from different planets but the style is exactly what a japanese new-max design team could be expected to come up with after drinking too much coffee. So I call this pissing contest a draw.

Re: Does this make me a liberal? Or is George Bush a true Republican/Conservative?

Why on earth everybody on this thread wants a small government? How 'bout a strong government that says: look, everybody gets a 5 week annual vacation. End of story.

Big business is good but if you let them run the country are you are never going to get charge free dental for all.

The unemployment rate in EU countries was 7.5% - 9.5% last year depending on how measured. Higher than in the US - but the reason is more to do with the generous unemployment benefit than vacation or free dental. If you get 65% of your salary for two years when laid off, hey you are not gonna go flipping burgers.

Of course this sort of slack affects the economical performance. Other side of the coin is that everybody is more relaxed.

Re: P.S. Bush is not a conservative.

Good example but comparison fails seruzawa.

A person gets immediate assistance in private clinics both in Europe and US.

But the difference is that if you are flat broke, jobless and even your Rebel project is frozen due to lack of funds you also get high quality dental care. A substantial advantage I would say (actually I don't know anybody with a dental insurance).

Interestingly, our private clinics and dental insurance are much cheaper than yours. After all, they have to compete with the free option. However, I prefer govt dentists because they have no incentive to recommend unnecessary work.

I think he means transmission. The founding fathers obviously had rather serious problems with the prop shaft yoke at the tranny end.
