I was at Triumph / Ducati of Atlanta today and they told me that they've had two Brutales in.... and immediately out.... of the building. They are hoping to get two more for the Cycle World show, if not one of the buyers has already offered to lend his bike for the show. I can't wait to see one of these up in the North Georgia mountains!!!!!!!!
Bauer MV Agusta in OKC has (or at least had a few weeks ago) a red Brutale S on the showroom floor. I saw it advertised in the paper and hopped on the Monster to go take a look. Seriously, I was in the showroom for over an hour just drooling over the thing. There are so many little details to take in! Maybe if I sold off the Duc and a couple of other toys I could bring one home... The sales guy quoted me around $12,800 out the door, as I recall...
I have laid out the moolah, and ordered a Brutale S. Been waiting 2 months, and it is still not in the country (Australia). The anticipation is excruciating.
But I have to agree with an earlier contributor, I dont totally get the Brutale styling, I prefer the look of the F4, and I think the Buell is georgous. But I test rode the thing, and I can only say Yossef is not exaggerating, the sound is completely orgasmic, and if I try to analize why I have shelled out $26K, it is probably so I can immerse myself in that sound. I dont care if it is a bit slower than a GSX750, or the seat is harder than a Honda, its just such an unbelievable blast to ride that I let nothing get in the way of having one.
