I know me and the negative waves. We won't see these bikes for precisely the reason we see illegal immigrants coming across the border. The former won't be purchased while the latter will continue to be hired. Too bad.
If BMW ensures that their standards of part acquisition and assembly are met then quality bikes can be built in China or anywhere else. That second paragraph scares me, the one starting with the sentence: "Despite initially denying it, BMW has now admitted that they have the engines for the G650Xcountry made in China." Last time I checked, Chinese manufacturing was not synonymous with quality.
The new Trophy looks sounds interesting in concept anyway, we'll have to see how it turns out. The last version, 96~03 was a work of art....If BMW ensures that their standards of part acquisition and assembly are met then quality bikes can be built in China or anywhere else.
Could be worse. Could be built in Detroit by sarnali's kin.
