Hum.... I like the longer idea

I like the idea of a longer frame and swing arm.

No only do you have a longer bike which is more stable and easier to launch hard from a stop without being as wheelie prone, you get more fuel capacity 4.4 gallons vs 3.7 on the old Buells.

And the Ulysses looks pretty cool. Is it any good off road and down fire roads?

Sounds like more bike comparos in our near future.

Come on Sean, who's the fastest bike down a fireroad / backroad? The new Ulysses sport, BMW R1200 GS, Kawasaki KLR 650, KTM 950 Adventure, or Suzuki V-Strom DL1000????

Re: Hum.... I like the longer idea

pdad13, I have trouble everytime on my XB12S launching hard off the line.

I feel like if I could have a swing arm just and inch or two longer then it would be much easier.

Like you said, lets see if MO notices a difference.

So just how much better would this new redesigned dog-ring transmission shift??

Would it feel like a new Japanese built transmission?

I know I love the idea of an easier clutch pull. My 04 XB12S will just kill me in stop and go traffic.
