what a great starting point

granted it ain't a power bomb but get rid of the fairing and change the top tree and you have the beginings of a cool streetfighter. 2-3 years from now this will be a good bike to pick up for a streetfighter project. I however couldn't see doing it to a brand new bike though there are those who do and will. Streetfighters are so much more fun that sportbikes.

Re: Streetfighters

Take a regular race clone and strip all the plastic off. Re-route the wiring and plumbing to clean up the lines. Ditch the clipons and switch out the top tree to accept MX type bars. Streetfighters are city bikes. The upright position is great in the city...all but worthless at highspeed. Great handling and acceleration is more important that top end stability and speed. If you've seen TombRaider the bike she rides is a streetfighter made from a YAMAHA TDM850. Obviously a lot of work was done to it. Streetfighter are basicly modern day choppers only instead of slow highway cruisers they are fast, agile canyon carvers.

Re: Anyone notice

opps thought those were rearsets. I didn't see the control pegs (low and forward) until I blew up the image (a lot) Those should put the passengers knees in the riders kidneys. It better have a smooth suspension.
