We did what we had to do, I've seen a number of interviews of Paul Tibbits on the History and Military channels and he doesn't offer a shred of remorse or apology nor should he.
It's all well and good now to say we pushed the Japanese into it with oil embargo's but the reality is they attacked us. They started a war with us and lost..would it have been more humane to keep napalming their cities till they quit? I guess it would have kept Boeing busy building B29's for a few more years.
