As far as any of us know, this could have been a Letter to the Editor…In case you didn’t notice, the piece wasn’t bylined.

It’s also a good thing to remember that Op-Ed-Columnists are the journalistic equivalents of loudmouthed drunks, down at the end of the Bar.

Having said that, if the person who wrote this piece is a legitimate Columnist, my only hope is that the good people of Australia have the good sense to drag the writer into the street and set fire to him, then sell his family into slavery. After all, if this column reflects the writer’s idea of fair editorial writing, then I think that the punishment should be just as fair.

I’m put in mind of the day I followed a car that had no driver. When I got to a left-turn-lane I pulled up beside the car to look inside. I saw a little old lady who was so short that she was staring through the spokes of her steering wheel directly into the dashboard. Since she was driving less than half the speed limit, I figured she was driving by landmarks, or she had a GPS unit. From where her head was positioned, in relationship to her windshield, she couldn’t have possibly seen anyone under 7 feet tall, standing right in front of her bumper.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the AMA had as much clout as the AARP? Hell, if that happened, we’d be allowed to ride drunk and blindfolded.

Hey Buz! I was wonderin...

Hey, since you're a V-twin guy, I was wondering if you'd heard anything about the Duss SuperMotard?

It's supposed to have 120hp, weigh approx. 300lbs and is powered by a 1050cc V-twin.

Sounds like it's right up your ally.

LSD Is Probably One Of the Safest, and Useful, Drugs Ever Tested…

I realize that my headline is pretty provocative but, if you bear with me, I’ll show how it is true, and relevant to the Post.

During the 50s and 60s LSD was used to accelerate the psychoanalytical process. Scores of prominent psychiatrists found that LSD's ability to break down patient’s unconscious resistance to examining buried traumatic events, and thus accelerate curing the patient, was phenomenal. We’re not talking about treating symptoms, like Prozac, but actually curing patients. LSD also has the highest LD-50 (highest amount needed to kill 50% of laboratory-test-animals) of any psychoactive drug. While it takes 30 doses of alcohol, by weight, to kill 50% of the subjects, humans have ingested over 250,000 doses of LSD and recovered without any noticeable side effects. Anyone who died from LSD, died because of a"Bad Trip’ or stupidity. Ironically, psychiatrists generally believed that the only "Good Trip" was a "Bad Trip" because that was when the subject was confronting the true reality of who they are, and that is scary as Hell.

If it weren’t for the irresponsible actions of people like Timothy Leary, LSD probably would have revolutionized the science of the brain, and how we perceive and understand consciousness today. In other words, treating the most powerful drug ever created, as if it were a toy, destroyed all Clinical Research on LSD.

As it was with LSD, so will it be with motorcycles…Idiots are going to screw everything up. There are many things that are more dangerous than motorcycles but, due to the high visibility of stupid, and irresponsible, riders, one of the greatest recreational activities of all time is going to suffer, and possibly become outlawed.

In other words, treating the most powerful vehicles ever created, like toys, will destroy our sport.

None of this means that the guy who wrote the column isn't an idiot; it just means that we ain't doing ourselves any favors, when we act like retards.

Buzz, chances are, if you had some acid you wouldn't wanna kill Kpaul.

As, I have a feeling, you already know, LSD tends to make us see our reality as it truly is, rather than what our egos have created, out of fear. It is this Schism , between who we truly are, and, the beliefs that we accepted - without question - and the fantasies we create to keep keep our illusions afloat, that cause insanity, rage and violence.

What I'm tryin to say is...Ain't no way your gonna spoil a perfectly Good Trip, chasin Kpaul around, tryin to put holes in 'em. If ya wana do that, you're gonna wanna get drunk on Tequila.

Having him eviscerated in print might not be as good as burning him alive, and selling his family in to slavery, but it’s okay by me.

BTW…Jefferson might not be much, compared to Foster’s Lauger, but we’re kinda proud of him, anyway. So, thanks for the quote. :)

Re: LDEBATE org agrues for unrestricted freedom.

Don't know who Sput**** is, but most would responisble people would agree that LSD should never be taken, unless it's done in a safe, theraputic environment. LSD can't kill you but the things that you have buried in you subconscious, you don't want to face up to, might. Heaven, and Hell, are inside us all :-0

To be honest, 25 micrograms (Standard Hit) isn't much more intense than being stoned. Trouble is, just like with bikes, guys always want to open the throttle and sometimes the brakes ain't so good. It's that whole, 100+ theraputic (Liter Bike) level where things can get really unstable. For your average goofy-kid, confronting infinity and the nature of being can be a mite disturbing. Add to that, being around other teenagers - who might just thing it's a good idea to mess with you - and it's all-aboard for the Psychotic Express. Some toys, that you find in the attic have sharp and rusty edges.

Though, I always thought if was funny that the CIA gave up on LSD, for interrogation, because often the subjects gained too much insight into the situation; or, became too distracted to be bothered. Besides the fact that a good number of agents were having way too much fun playing with the stuff themselves.

Re: Hey Buz! I was wonderin...

I saw a real tiny blurb in Motorcyclist, with a bad picture. If you want to get a look at it, check out

http://www.motorbox.com/cntDefault.prn.aspx?idcontent=5999It's

It ain't much to look at and I guess it's gonna cost around 23,000 Euros (how ever much that is, in real money) but with that power to weight ratio, I'd sure like to take one for a ride.
