Man am I PISSED !

I just had a ride end with my bike running AWFUL.
I had it TOWED to my mechanic.
The EXUP cables are BROKEN and they are NOT stocked in the USA.
My bike is going to be down for a MONTH or more because of a cable,WTF !

Any of you guys who put different pipes on your Roadliner/Stratoliner.

Can I buy the EXUP cables from you ?

Come on. Japanese products are infallible and they take care of their customers.

I had a buddy who lost second gear on his R1 and it was down for months.

At least it was cheaper than a Harley, wasn't it?

A solder pot is a handy thing to have. When you aren't fixing cables you can cast bullets.
Exactly.

Ignore this - it's only added characters.

Yes

I don't know but I MAY try to find a deal on a pipe this winter and then just dump the EXUP system.

The EXUP idea is fantastic, backpressure when you want torque & no backpressure when horsepower is desired.

It's just something that can break though.

Maybe you better get spares just in case. I always carry an extra clutch cable for my cable actuated bikes. Extra EX cables is probably a good idea.
I learned this lesson a couple weeks ago. It was really hot waiting in that parking lot for the local HD/Buell truck to come get my bike. When the guy showed up, this was the convo:

Greg: Hi I'm Greg. Broke yer clutch cable huh?
Me: Yep
Greg: Mah new bike's got one o' them hydrolic clutches.
Me: Good for you Greg. Good for you.

You can limp home without a clutch, however if you break your throttle cable, you are pretty much stuck.
