I wrote this on another board, but I'll repeat it here. I quit riding in the Georgia mountains on weekends years ago. Idiot squids with no respect for the locals, ticket-happy cops and scenery gawking drivers made it unbearable for me. I'm sure it's only gotten worse in the last few years. By the way, the Fox Five news piece was not fair and balanced. It made a pretense at it, but it was deceptive as hell.
During the week the traffic is light, cops are scarce and squids are nearly nonexistent.
