Oh please.

I never worry when they are out to get us. I worry when they are out to save us from ourselves. I think they have much bigger problems than motorcycle helmet laws.
You know that the goal of politics is to appear to be "doing something" while actually ensuring that the status quo is left undisturbed. I mean if we took action to actually reduce crime for example where would all those cops and judges find jobs? Picking on motorcyclists is a tailor made campaign that will win votes while leaving 99% of people undisturbed, fat and happy while lying on their couches and wolfing down deadly fast food thus reducing the welfare rolls..... now where's the Reynolds Wrap?

It's like we couldn't see the writing on the wall. Gov't focuses on one area of the facts and ignores every other recomdation> Just another example of the DUH button being stuck.

Mr. Moore, would you please report to Human Resources?

Mr. H. Meanswell, HR Director: Good afternoon, Mr. Moore. We have heard some rather colorful outbursts lately emanating from your work station. We like to think of ourselves as a tolerant workplace, but some of these...outbursts are quite forceful.

Mr. Moore: [whispers] kill ******?

Mr. H. Meanswell: Right then! Carry on.

You can't legislate stupidity out of people. I would not ride without a helmet regardless of the law. I don't see this any different than passing seat belt laws or speed limit laws. There are dozens of laws to protect us from our own stupidity. I don't think my rights have been violated when they pass a law that says I have to do something that I should have been doing anyway.

Actually I think they're still getting over the drunken fornication episode in the copy room at last year's Holiday Party. Good times, Spongebob, gooood times. Lucky thing I have some technical talent...

One square of toilet paper per visit for you!

No more pizza and beer either.

You should be doing these things anyhow so I'm sure you'll add your name to the petition.

Tell me you're kidding

I'll bet this fine perspective of yours will go right out the f'ing window the minute "they" pass a law that says you have to do something you don't think you should have been doing anyway.

Hmmm...sounds suspiciously like "he whose name must not be spoken." Somebody leave the screen door unlocked?

.... the thankfully banned idiot boy is not alone. Probably the majority of people buy into this "friendly fascist" nonsense.

As I read this, the words of my neuro-surgeon ring in my ears as I laid on the table after being hit from behind at 80. That helmet saved your life, but I don't why you don't have a broken neck. Most like you live, but spend the rest of their lives as a quadriplegic. I wonder if the insurance community would like carrying that cost...
BTW, what is the #1 cause of death in automobile crashes? Head trauma. I say helmets should be mandatory in ALL vehicles! Just think of the lives that would be saved....

It's a fact. Detailed studies have shown that cellphone=using cagers are just as dangerous as DUI drivers. Since the DUI folkers don't have a huge lobby like the telecomm industry, they aren't allowed to practice their chosen driving abberation...but the cell cagers are.
Here's the main difference: the drunk driver will sober up!
