I just suppose that we are all supposed to putt-putt along and thank the lord that we are allowed to have all of these freedoms. Any of you folks ever ride in Europe in the Alps or the Dolomites? It makes Palomar (at least what I have seen on video and read on the Internet) look like child'ds play. I must admit that virtually all of the riders there took it seriously, well maintaind machines and all protective gear.

The problem is that motorcyles are just not taken seriously in the good old USA.

Realtors - about the biggest plague ever. Shh- you'll disturb the buyers! Oh, please!

These are public roads and motorcyclists are members of the public. If motorcyclists or other road users do something stupid, well that's what the public usually does.

Yeah, put it on SuperBikes and ***** everyone off. Make it the Deal's Gap of the West Coast. Have hundreds of motorcyclists ride it every weekend (maybe they do already). I am sure that the rtealtors would love that. Property is overvalued there anyway.

true that. In European twisties, car drivers check the mirrors now and then and move over to let bikes pass and the kids in the back seat are giving big thumbs up.

I think the bigger thing that aggravates the Palomar residents is the same thing that closes down off-road areas: Noise.

If ****heads would quit putting loud exhausts on their bikes things would be much better for all concerned. But that's like asking the Palestinians and Israelis to kiss and make up I suppose... nobody wants to compromise their "rights", "freedom" blah blah blah...

What´s wrong being passed on the wrong side? Somebody riding massive 30 foot rig is afraid he is being passed by some 600 cc from the inside, so much so he has to drive on the white line. What is he afraid of? Dipsticks like this should have their license revoked for the lack of common sense.

I spent ten days riding the Alps last year. Never – NEVER – heard a set of loud pipes. Never – NEVER – saw a beanie helmet. Never – NEVER – saw a rider in flip-flops, tee-shirt and/or shorts. Never – NEVER – saw a biker pop a long wheelie.

And yet every rider I saw seemed to be having a grand time. How is that possible without loud pipes, beanies, flip-flops, and 60-mph wheelies?

Skill. Discipline. Knowing when to go and when to hold back. I don’t recall seeing a double centerline in all of Switzerland – the state has enough confidence in the riders and drivers to let them decide when it’s safe to pass.

Like Palomar? You can do a dozen passes a day at an extraordinarily fast pace in the Alps - just slow down for the villages and try to look like you know what you’re doing. Check out all the traffic you have to doge on Paso Stelvio http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/13/Stelvio.jpg

So let’s get rid of (or at least calm down) the knuckleheads so those of us that are serous about the M/C stuff can have some real fun!

Oh, and another thing – there’s not a trophy house every half mile in the Alps. Don’t know how we’re gonna’ deal with that on our favorite roads here in the USA.

"What´s wrong being passed on the wrong side?"

Uh … it’s illegal, dangerous and stupid.

In the US the side lines are white and the opposing lanes are divided by the yellow. The lady driving on the white was hugging the side so that a$$hole ricer (is there any other kind) that cross into her lane would have some extra room.

I drive a Ram. If an on coming ricer crosses into my lane he’d better cross back quickly as I sure as hell won’t budge an inch. I always drive a few inches off the yellow. And I don’t like ricers …

That is without a doubt the the biggest pr1ck post I've seen on this site in years. Even for you. So you won't try to avoid hitting another biker head-on because he doesn't ride what you consider to be the "right" bike?

And I thought you had no class or brains before....

Correct. An asshat ricer’s inability to control his crotch rocket is not my problem.

"another biker"

A ricer is not another biker. A ricer is a two bit loser (like you)

"And I thought you had no class "

LOL, a ricer talking about class. So funny …

"or brains before...."

Sure. You cannot afford a real bike but you're real smart.

Let's see, the last few years, Aprilia, Ducati and now Triumph. Yep, the ignorant could call them ricers.

"Sure. You cannot afford a real bike but you're real smart."

That's a great argument. I've got more equity in my house than you've made in the last ten years.

Let me re-cap; bigdx, streetrod, dodge ram, "I'm rich," I won't avoid hitting another biker. Could you hand pick a better compilation of someone describing a total Asshat?

Btw, walk home, I'm done with you.

My my, you have one house … mmm, good for you mate. Of course from your statement it obviously not paid off yet.

"streetrod, dodge ram"

Yep, those are two of my vehicles …

"I'm rich"

Yep, I am rich, especially compared to a loser b!tch like you.

"I won't avoid hitting another biker."

Not sure where I am supposed to have said that.

"Could you hand pick a better compilation of someone describing a total Asshat?"

Yes I can. How about Fenton the F*ckhead.

"Btw, walk home"

I drive a Ram remember … and a streetrod.

"I'm done with you."

Is that a promise? You’re the a$$hole that continually responds to postings I make. Hahahahahahaha what a stupid f*ckhead you are.

BTW, what is 180-20? hahahahahahahahahaha

Kind of a late observation, but I've noticed that here in the wine country, people have actually become better about pulling over when they see a motorcycle behind them. Maybe it's because I ride a faired 'crotch rocket' looking VFR now, instead of an ancient 750 Seca, but I'm truly surprised by the number of people that let me pass. I always give a 'thank you' wave, but I wouldn't be surprised if the real impetus behind them pulling over is the fear that I'm going to do something crazy if they don't. All God's creatures serve a purpose.
