Get back to work you heathen. After that A-bomb you produced in the cab of the MO truck this week I'll have no more gruff from da likes of u. I think something like that masterpiece of yo's must have killed the trees in some of the photos except in that case a volcano was probably involved or sumthin. I dunno.
Good job, it reminds me when I lived in Baker Nevada & the places we could go. I'm leaning toward a Vstrom 650 to go with my Road King and stories like this make it irresistable.
Great article, Martin. You should come down to Canyonlands sometime and run the White Rim trail around Island in the Sky. It's almost as long. Don't try it in summer, though.
Closest to "off road" here is a gravel alley. That or one of the local pothole strewn roads. Now taking the Geezer down that thing would be an adventure. Buz, ya up for it??
This summer we are going to ride from Snowville UT to British Columbia on dirtbikes. All fire roads and single track with the Magruder thrown in the middle. The most fun you can have offroad.
And for apres ride entertainment I'll introduce Buzz as "my metrosexual friend from California" to some of the good old boys in Elk City.
I'll have a couple of tobacco chewing, horse beating, fire fighting women with packs of camels rolled up in the sleeves of their tee shirts all ready for you.
There's usually an idiot or two who tries to do the trail in Ford Exploder or some similar phony ORV and gets stuck. You could use the back seat for the couch.
No Joni Mitchell. You'll have to settle for Howlin' Wolf.
