I hate to ride in those types of events. There are usually too many new riders on big Harleys who have little idea how to ride alone and can really cause havoc when in a crowd of a hundred or so. I wish you luck and I hope you raise money for some deserving kids. I'll give to the Red Cross or United Way and ride by myself. I do ride on one charity event each year but am scared to death riding with such an incompetent group of riders. I also ride in an off-road charity event that lasts about a week. There, I'm the crappy rider. I hope I don't scare too many others while I scare myself.
This is the only charity ride I go to. After the start, we usually only see one or two people, especially in the the tough stuff. Like SRMark, I am usually the slow guy there.
