The law has a valid purpose for protecting trans people, and there is no realistic danger of people hurting women, much less children, as a result of the law.

Check out this blog for some research on that point.

Trans folks (I know many) are really no different from anyone else; they just need to work a lot harder to be who they really are.

I think you may be missing his point - correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he's NOT saying that a "real" tran is going to do anything untoward - rather, a Predator can "claim" that he's one, and now legally use this law as his excuse for stalking and molesting.

There's a tran that works for our rail service, I don't believe that (s)he is any more "dangerous" than the next person, though (s)he's a real tire-bitin' bytche.
