Re: FZ-6 has lots of legroom

I second that, on both counts. I think maybe what he is getting at is all the zigs and zags and stuff that the Japanese think they have to put on their sport bikes. Being an old fart, I like the simpler color schemes that bikes like the VFR (and others) feature. Looks more grownup to me. And, yes, I would like to see a little engine and be able to check the coolant or change the oil without taking stuff off.

Yeah, I'd agree with that up to a point - I'm 6' with a 35" inseam - the seating position is pretty comfortable for me, but for longer distances on the SV-S over 50mph I installed one of those Givi touring windscreens - for me its good up to about 85mph - after that, its time to scoot back and tuck down.

A guy I work with bought an FZ6 last year. He likes it because it's so light and flickable compared to the liter class nakeds. He's about 6'3".

I'm riding a BMW F800GS, I'm 6'6" with 34" inseam.
I lowered the footpegs (Fastway) and raised the handlebars 1" so the ergonomics work for me but the screen is the problem. The stock windscreen is not acceptable (buffeting) starting at 80Km/h so I cut down the F650 stock screen my friendly dealer gave me 1" > buffeting reduced however lot's of wind pressure on the body.
I think I had far less wind issues with my 1997 Honda VFR 750. Maybe Dual Sports incl. Tiger are not really that well suited for taller riders after all for the upright seating position and the resulting wind issues??
