You have something against diversity?

Yes I'll take diversity over monochromatic, mono-religious, mono-cultural, mono-political, mono-moralistic society any day.. You have something against diversity?

Well, I guess I can't argue with that kind of piercing logic.

Re: You have something against diversity?

Didn't you learn your lesson about that crap before? Go read my post about "diversity" being neither good nor bad. Then tell me what kind of autistic clump of neurons would ask, "You have something against diversity"?

I'll repeat it for you. Try not to get a lip cramp sounding out the words: Diversity is neither good nor bad.

On the other hand, judging from your post, you seem to have LOADS of issues with certain types of people...

Re: You have something against diversity?

Oh, and by the way - how "diverse" is that neighborhood you live in? Aside from the occasional young-person-of-color who comes to visit?

And here's some fun facts from the US Census Bureau. Feel free to reply "B.S.":

Washington State - 77% white non-Hispanic.

Utah - 83% white non-Hispanic.

Seattle - 70% white, 5% Hispanic.

Salt Lake City - 79% white, 18% Hispanic.

Yeah, you're really kicking ass in the diversity stakes. Utah is a kleig light and you're a regular friggin' rainbow.

Re: You have something against diversity?

Come on Seattle has more African and Asian Americans by far. Salt Lake is by far the most diverse city in Utah. Eastern WA is really skews the diversity stats for WA . Seattle is pretty expensive to live in so I suggest you look at some of the surrounding cities. Have you ever been to Seattle? Much more divers that Boston. A lot prettier too. It like SF with evergreens is how some folks explain it.

Sorry, Boston >> Seattle. "It like Seattle" without you, but with good public transportation, and something to go see besides that goddamned stupid tower thingy north of downtown. Jeebus, you'd think you invented Seattle, you're so proud of it.

How can eastern WA skew the diversity stats so much when the vast majority of people are at the puget sound? I don't get it.

"Have you ever been to Seattle? Much more divers that Boston."

SEATTLE:

White 70%

Asian 13%

Hispanic 5%

Black 8%

BOSTON:

White 54%

Asian 7%

Hispanic 14%

Black 25%

Do you EVER get tired of making a fool of yourself? Ever?

Also if diversity is your criterion you should move to Chicago. Guess longride has got you all kinds of beat on that score. Seems you don't really value diversity at all. Go on, admit it. LR wins.

"Jeebus, you'd think you invented Seattle, you're so proud of it."

From bestplaces.net:

Seattle, WA, violent crime, on a scale from 1 (low crime) to 10, is 6. Violent crime is composed of four offenses: murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. The US average is 3.

Seattle, WA, property crime, on a scale from 1 (low) to 10, is 7. Property crime includes the offenses of burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson. The object of the theft-type offenses is the taking of money or property, but there is no force or threat of force against the victims. The US average is 3.

Kpaul's definition of "low crime." Is he ever right?

Now he'll tell us how it's only certain areas that "skew" it, as if every city doesn't have good and bad sections.

Re: You have something against diversity?

Can you provide the link you are getting these stats? I think it excludes some of the smaller cities around Seattle that contain the bulk of the minorities. If you have ever been here you would know what I am talking about. You need to get out more... The east is east but the west is wow.. i.e much bigger and better.

I told you - US Census Bureau. You can't find that in your awesome search engines?

BTW, you seriously are going to crush a vertebrate with all that goalpost moving you do.

I really don't know what a Boeingbot living in Snohomish county with a 3-car garage can tell us about ethnic diversity, but I'm willing to listen. And if you live in far north King County, you know full well that this is a distinction without a difference.
