Re: You have something against diversity?

My head is spinning from all the diversity gerrymandering he's doing.

Basically, he's grabbing us by the ears, jerking our heads in various directions, and going, "See! There's a black guy!"

"The east is east but the west is wow.. i.e much bigger and better."

Of course it is, dear. You're there. Everything associated with you is better, isn't it?

You remind me of my buddy Bob. If he had a catheter up his ****, he'd say how much better it is than having to unzip to *****.

I gotta admit that I have to laugh at lilly white boy living in lilly white boy land talking about ethnic diversity. If I took him down to the neighborhood I grew up in, he would shyt himself in about 15 seconds. Gee his daughter dates an African-American, and his other daughter dates an Asian. How quaint. He does try so hard to be what he never will be though, doesn't he?

A good bike rider?

A bike owner?

An expert in any field?

Politically savvy?

Respected?

Liked?

Seriously, you're going to have to give me a hand with this. What is he trying to be, again?

Yeah. The spectacle of Mr Sophistication who's lived in Denver and Seattle is one of the funniest things in a while. Colorado is of course noted for it's ethnic diversity. (snicker)

I lived in a small NH town that had a Annual Fair. There were lots of empty fairground buildings that they rented space in the winter for boat, car, motorcycle, etc.. storage. You might look around to see if this is a possibility.

Firmly non-mo, both me and my wife, neither of us are even native to Utah, but I really enjoy living here. I miss the Pacific ocean and the SD beach scene, but the tradeoff of that versus EVERYTHING ELSE sure makes living here mighty nice. Nowadays when I go visit San Diego, I am perpetually annoyed by people, prices, humidity, etc until I can cross the border and dunk my head into a barrel of alcohol in Tijuana.

My old neighbor (before moving to Sandy) used to be bishop and would occasionally send the missionaries over. Nice guys but no chance of hooking me.

I Live in Utah and tried that one out on my wife once. She was willing to concede half the garage but only until I can convert the sunroom into a woodwork shop and move all my machinery into it and then she'll want to "revisit" the topic. o_O

I've always hated the term 'Gen X'. I think I first became aware of it in college during a time when everyone but EVERYONE was walking around campus wearing Malcolm X shirts. I've always since associated the two... Admiration of Malcolm didn't bug me so much as that most of the people that I knew espousing it only knew that.. he was... black? And.. um.. against the MAN!

great.

About the only name I found dumber than 'gen x' was... well..

Gen Y.
