Not a great fan of Rossi as a person, but, boy, the guy can ride. You get a feeling that any company that signs him gets the equivalent of an extra 20HP or so. I mean, how different can his bike be from those of Gibernau, Biaggi, etc.? And yet, when Rossi pushes a bit, he is on another planet. At the previous GP he gave ONE SECOND to Biagi in 3/4 of a lap after he passed him. In GP terms that's a spanking. As an Italian I dream of a Ducati/Rossi team (or in a couple of years, Aprilia/Rossi). I think Rossi would find the way of making the most out of the Ducati power.
The last lap at Rio, Rossi was just showing off. He could have been standing up, or doing wheelies the whole lap and he would have won anyway. Amazing.
