That's how I took it also and so my original question. Seems to me using both brakes would have at least minimized the impact. Having said that, I hope the arsole never sees the light of day again. Faint hope.

No he most certainly did NOT deserve to die or even be injured at the hands of some out of control dipstick. If you read down a bit further you will see that several other members of the list had the same thought. It seemed to me that there was enough room at those speeds and distances to avoid a high impact crash. That is all I meant.
