Yeah. I agree with what everyone else said.



Cut the guy some slack. I mean, it's not like he's ever raced there before. Geez! And besides, compared to his regular ride, this car has a similar power-to-weight proportion, and only three to five times the contact patch area, so how could he reasonably be expected to control it. And of course, he was crashy when he rode 125s, so why are all you nay-sayers demanding that he somehow know more about at-the-limit piloting just cuz he's been doing it for ten years. You people are impossible!



Seriously, Ferrari wants him for the same reason Yamaha sold its grandma into prostitution to get him: in addition to being a great racer, he is also quietly one of the most gifted development riders ever. EVER. He is possibly the perfect liason between engineer and machine, and further, he can differenciate between what the vehicle needs to be better, and what things he personally wants for his own ride and piloting. Personally, I think he's aiming at Shoomy's record, even at this early date. He wants to be in the history books, and he will, or die trying.
