Honda Motors, being on the leading edge of safety technology has revealed a closley guarded secret new motor for it's motocross racing machines, that in the words of Tasuki Yammatsu, head of the design saftey division of Honda, will cut injuries and extend the period between rebuilds for it's MX bikes.
As pictured here, the single-casting cylinder/head is screwed to the cases with the help of a revolving thread and fixed with a counternut, so compression can be varied. This design will carry over to all the CRF 230, 250 & 450 machines. This design will compete on the new "vacant lot" sized MX tracks designed to cut injuries and bring down the dangerous high speeds of the latest MX bikes in production. A good move for all concerned!
