Yeah, I also had a bad experience at an HD dealership. Killing time on business trip I visited an out-of-town dealer, who knew upfront I was not a sales prospect. Asked him a technical question about design of the Softtail swingarm. He spent a 1/2 hour explaining it to include printing out the schematic from the on-line service manual. He also insisted I drink his coffee. Well, I've about had it with those arrogant, incompetent HD dealerships. Won't be going back there any time soon.

I can't comment on H-D dealers, as I've never stepped foot in one ( but then I've only been riding for 25 years.) I can say that I've always been able to test ride any bike at every BMW dealer I've been to, even after telling the salesmen that I was not buying. I've had similar experiences at a local Ducati/Triumph/Moto Guzzi dealer, Erico Motorsports in Denver. A little ironic, since these brands, except maybe Triumph, are the ones whose product I will probably never be able to afford.
