I had a ZX-12R but I don't care for these bikes anymore. I've got my eyes on the Concours 14. But I am holding my breath for the new Hayabusa because I'm hoping it'll have an inline 6 engine.

I've been waiting for an inline 6 powered bike for years. I am not looking for power. even 120hp would be more than enough. What I want is the feel, character and sound of an inline 6 on a motorcycle.

Suzuki's Stratosphere concept bike has my hopes up that they have an inline 6 bike in the works. If they do, thats my next bike, whether its the Hayabusa or something else. IF they don't. the next Hayabusa won't be on my list

Re: Why the cruiser market is in trouble.

Right Fred said we were going to Satellite based receiver/transmitters on our motorcycles, recording our every move.. Remember Connexion satellite time is expensive specially transmit/receive. i.e. costs vs payoff was sorely lacking in Fred's analysis. Then there was the alleged quote by the Surgeon General or someone like that about motorcyclist being the s***** of the earth.. Which couldn't be collaborated with independent press reports.

The new Busa has been covered extensively in Weekly World Motorcycle News. They recently got some spy shots of it being tested on the lost continent of Atlantis with Elvis doing the riding. The photog (who managed to elude security thanks to his manbearpig suit) put a stopwatch on it, and clocked average lap speeds in the 200mph range.

For comparison, the same spy previously clocked Honda's V5 VFR1200RRXX at a relatively sluggish 195 on the same track.

I am dismayed more every day by things i learn. I hear some big manufacturers hire professional photographers to shoot "spy fotos" and leak to press. Maybe James Bond is fictitious? who knows. what a world.

And what should have happened? 134 posts telling you what an idiot you are in a kpaul news item about the Tallahassee City Council considering helmet laws for 17-year-old riders on their learner's permits?

My God, my life has been empty this week.
