We don't need no stinkin' electronics! Rider's aids are for wussies. Real rider's just point and shoot.

I use an electric starter and electronic ignition on my bike though to be honest a kick starter and points/condenser work just as well.

My '78 XLH was the first electric start only bike I owned, I was pretty sure it'd leave me push starting it at some point but it never did.

-Oh, is that the photo in your avatar? It looked like an apartment complex (with that big green sign looking thing and the house cropped on the right), so I just figured it was your "slightly fortified compound".

I sure wish I had a Caddy alternator on my 599! :(

(heh heh heh)
I have to say I'm impressed that your bike can power all the sh*t you have on there. Based on my own experiance I always thought Honda charging systems were crap, obviuosly I was wrong.....

She's got so much stuff on there that I bet the alternator load reduces to rwhp to 61!

I can't power it all at once. I do have enough power to use the Garmins, one set of lights, and the electric vest without draining the battery, although it's darned close.
Do you carry a spare stator? Although an alternator may be rated at "X" watts, actually running it at "X" watts all the time can reduce it's life.

Yeah, that's his house, and the sign is on Rezko's lot. It was a pretty shady deal all around, which I only point out to show that even the 'messiah' is a corrupt politician and just like all the rest of them. That don't mean the other feller's any better. I'm writing in Boortz.
My compound happens to be a 300 sq ft studio apartment, which is perfectly cozy for drinking alone.

No, I don't carry a spare -- but then again, I don't need to use the max very often. For normal riding during the day, I'll have the Garmins and *maybe* the Motolights on for some extra visibility. That's not pulling close to max watts. I'd have to throw in the electric vest to start pulling max.

Also, remember I have HID bulbs in the headlight, so I'm using fewer watts than I would with a stock setup.

I still think the color-matched Honda generator on a trailer is your hot setup. You could even power up your riding pals with extension cords as y'all rode in formation! "Sachi, Goddess of Light!"
