For those of you that commented that LEOs could enforce the law by checking for the EPA stamp on the muffler, what's a guy to do when the original exhaust is trashed and the OEM does not make or sell them anymore? you are forced to either junk the bike or put on an aftermarket exhaust. Not necessarily a loud aftermarket exhaust. Some aftermarket exhausts are reasonably quiet. It's a matter of choice when someone decides to put on a pipe that is obnoxiously loud.
