Neither of the two existing parties want a third. If they do accept a third, they want it to be more like the other party so it sucks votes from their enemies. But yeah, it's legit. It's called Unity08 and their first ticket will be for the 08 election; they're going to run a Dem and a Pub together on the same ticket. They're just trying to disrupt the existing norm; they don't expect to establish a permanent 3rd party. They're using the internet as a base.

There was an article in the January Atlantic Monthly about it. It's very interesting.

I always chuckle at the clowns I run into who are so upset about the "invasion of that foreign culture" from Mexico. They are usually saying this through a mouthful of microwaved burrito. Lots of them think they are cowboys, which they also seem to think is an Anglo invention.

Yeah, I DID read it. And the question is: How in the HELL did she brake 397 feet before the accident point, yet still not have time enough to get below 59mph before collision?



Perhaps you should go back and reread it yourself - look between the lines.



Did she let off the brakes, then speed back up? Was she going so damn fast that there was no way she could ever stop in time? Or, was she simply so fcuking disdainful of every other human being on the road with her that day, that it just didn't matter WTF happened?



TWO people were killed in this crash - amazing that only one of them was a biker in an oncoming line of 30+ Motorcycles. Truly, the woman she struck and her vehicle was the saviour of many lives; most of the energy was expended destroying the cages. This woman might have plowed through the line of bikes, a dozen or more might have been killed.

A foundation block of proving guilt in our criminal justice system is establishing that there was intent to commit an action deemed unlawful. Inattentiveness would suggest the absence of intent. How simple to apply this defense to the "distracted", the "twinkied", the stunned, the stupid, the unwashed, the underprivileged, ad nauseam. As stated in a previous thread, the ship of state is sinking, and regrettably, there is no "new world" to emigrate to. Stay focused bros! We're on our own.
