Check out ducatimonster.org. Those folks should be able to answer any and all questions. Oh, and browse through their Monster of the Month galleries and try NOT to buy one of your own to mod.

The Buell? Are you kidding?

The Duc has a classic, proven air-cooled 95 horsepower 1000cc V-Twin pushing a svelte 395 pounds.

The Buell has an antiquated, obsolete air-cooled 103 horsepower 1200cc V-Twin pushing a porky 395 pounds.

I mean, anybody here could tell you that's no contest.

Seriously, the dude's got his heart set on the Duc, and that's a cool bike.

"Ducati's are amazing!"

And you get to buy those so-sweet-they'll-make-you-weep vintage Ducati jackets.

Get two Ducatis and a Moto Guzzi. Then when it's time to decide which one to ride, play Duc-Duc-Goose.

"It makes power down low that makes my current literbike seem weak at sane street speeds."

Some folks need to read that sentence over and over.

No, an idiot is someone who doesn't recognize obvious irony.

I think from now on, I'm going to write The following statement is ironic before every ironic post.

See, the point is, people blast Buells for things that are considered virtues in Ducs. In other words, I think Buells are really, really cool bikes. And I'm not being ironic about that.

To be utterly clear about this, "Some folks need to read that sentence over and over" because it makes so much sense.

"I'm looking to add a Sport Classic and a ST3s to my stable this year once the divorce is final."

Now there's an optimist.

Well said.

Yeah, riding through town at 8000 rpm is a great idea on so many levels, cruiz. Real enjoyable for everyone involved.

(BTW, that's "irony", B12commuter.)

Does anybody understand the concept of "torque"?

Nah, this is one of his "self-reflective" phases. Soon we'll hear an announcement of a leave-taking, followed by re-upping under another handle, followed by same-ol' same-ol'.

Yeah, you can type stuff like "A Ducati Monster S2R not really good at anything." And kpaul will be your friend.

"It's all so clear to me now, I just didn't understand the benefits of racing a Ducati. "

You also don't understand that nobody but you is talking about racing.
