That's as wrong as two boys....

Why? Why Tom? Does Ducati know about this?

Oh it doesn't look like the link works. You didn't think I was gonna read an article about TC did you?
Whoopee.

With any Luck, he'll be the first to crash and be horribly-disfigured-and-crippled-so-he's-unable-to-act-again on one.........
Nothing like a Tom Cruise thread to bring out the best in everybody.

He's so easy to despise, isn't he? Maybe he can chase some jets alongside a runway somewhere...
Mr Hawk...as someone who's had paramedics cut clothes from my body while laying in the middle of the street, coughing up blood from ribs poking through both lungs...unable to move or speak while some ahole 'mo in an SUV was laughing on the inside that he took out some American on a motorcycle I'd say that's a pretty harsh statement. And I usta wonder why they had so many handicapped parking spaces, and now I wonder why they don't have enough...

You're Right, you're absolutely Right. I shouldn't wish for such a thing. That was callous and rude, and I apologize.

Perhaps if he just slipped and fell at the Scientomogy Compound and smashed his face against an erroneously-left-running saber-saw, and was thusly unable to "act" or appear on camera or in Public ever again?
Fergetaboudit Airhawk. A couple years ago I would have posted the same thing. Funny how things change, eh? Now about Mr. TC, I understand from a few industry types that I still talk to he's a pretty good motorcycle rider, and an accomplished pilot. And what's with the Scientology people wearing Naval uniforms, complete with ribbons? Scary. The hospital I go to (Kaiser Sunset in LA) is right next to the Ron L Hubbard shrine, and the Scientology folks were doing close order drills in the parking lot one day, in dress whites (combination caps and all). What's up with that?

All right. While working on my procrastination skills, and eating Chinese, I read the article. I was wrong, who am I to stand in the way of someone who can drop $72.5K on 1 bike.

One of the things that close order drill teaches you is to react to commands. That could come in handy. "Who the hell told you you could think!"

This is pretty good if you want to hear a little ditty about Tom Cruise.
If I recall correctly, Mr. Hubbard (I believe it's L. Ron Hubbard) was sitting around with some other Sci-Fi writers back in the 50's. He was arguing that the best way to become filthy rich quickly, and without work, was through organized religion. To prove his point, he created Scientology out of thin air and began promoting it. He died an extremely wealthy man.

This may be the most succinct, accurate understanding of religion that I have ever read. 42
I don't really know a thing about Tommy Cruise, so I can't wish bad things upon him. I guess being rich and weird makes him an easy target, but he is a pretty lucky [email protected] getting things most of us can only dream about. Hopefully he rides that thing like he stole it!

If I were single, 30 years younger and I hooked up with Katie Holmes I'd be jumping on the couch too.
Actually, I hope he doesn't ride it like he stole it. I hope he doesn't ride it at all! As we all know, the best used buy is from some idiot who bought a top-end toy and then tired of it before he'd really tried it, thus taking a big hit in depreciation and allowing it back onto the market at a fraction of its original price, barely used. If TC wants do do that with his Desmo RR in, say, two years' time, that'd be just fine...

It's the highest order within Scientology... I forget what exactly they call it sea something (imagine that) -- but it was created when they decided to move their headquarters into international waters for... purely religious reasons *cough*.
I dunno' as far as religions go one based on science fiction is probably the most accurate.

Every religion seems weird to those who don't believe it. How about those guys who think that the dinosaur bones were planted by Satan? Or who believe that bread turns into flesh after you eat it? Or, get this, that Mother Earth is a conscious entity. My favorite is the widespread myth that some superior entity controls your life and thus absolves you of responsibility when you screw it up. My my. That includes all the monotheists doesn't it? Yet we are all expected to accept their delusions.

The only thing I do know about Cruise comes from a friend who was a carpenter on one of the MI movies. Said Cruise was a real nice guy without any of the ego issues that are so common in Hollywood. I think I'll believe that over all the screed from the gutter press that the mob mentality loves to quote. Since they lie about everybody else why believe them in this case?

If some guy can achieve success like Cruise and afford expensive bikes who am I to complain? Envy isn't very becoming anyhow.

I heard that too, I doubt I'll ever meet him so who's to say. When you look at the way "the media" hounded Britteny Spears to distraction I have nothing but contempt for them and there kind. If I was fortunate enough to be in that position I think I'd be like John Goodman and the rest of those actors that shun Hollywood and try to live quiet lives. I'd love to have the money and the chance to act but I'm too private a person to stand the fishbowl.
