Triumph Trophy 900

I had one, nice bike. But the ca. model runs up against the wall pretty soon because of the restricted air box and different cam profile. They don't tell you that on the 49 state bike reviews.

I really liked my 1200. If they still made them that's what I would be riding today. I think Triumph screwed the pooch by abandoning the large sport touring market. While the Sprint is an excellent bike it's more to the sport end of the spectrum, as the Rocket touring version is more to the cruiser end. I thought the Trophy filled a market niche` that the Connie14 and BMW 1300GT are now filling, in fact at one time triumph was developing a big bore sport tourer around 1400cc but dropped it in favor of the Rocket. I personally thought it was a foolish move but unfortunately they didn't ask my opinion.....
