I have a KLR and it will NOT "cruise at 80 ~ 90 mph all day".
Yes, it will run at 80 - 90 if your rev it out and put the engine the upper limit of its capacity, but it will not "cruise" there.
A comfortable cruising pace for the KLR is around 65 mph, maybe 70 tops.
