To really make an "impact", they should have Arlen Ness, the bike's creator, do the jump himself, now that would really help promote the whole event to a new "high", and maybe a very deep "low"
They are going to televise this to the crowd at the Polaris 50th anniversary event? Really? What'll that be? 10 people?
After fighting with one of the worst snowmobiles ever built for several years I think I'll avoid celebrating anything about Polaris. Yamahas forever! I've also got an old Bravo that runs and runs and runs and never quits!
Maybe they should jump all their production of snowsleds too.
Given the Vegas's aerodynamic profile with it's narrow front wheel to knife the air, followed by the minimal wind resistance of the classic feet-forward riding style topped off my Mr. Blackwell' MX jumping experiance I'd say it was a done deal.
My only concern is, as stated, that he'll overshoot the landing and wind up plowing the verge, it'll take a firm hand on the throttle to keep the speed down to appropriate long-distance jumping speed.
Well unlike the Harley haters at least my low opinion of Polaris sleds is based on actually owning one. I've never had to repair any machine so often. And that includes an AMF Shovelhead.
They may be the greatest thing since sliced bread but I'll never waste another penny on one.
"Don't hit me again, copper. I'll tell ya' what ya' wanna know. It was that Buzglyd guy, y' see? He turned 40 yesterday! I've never seen anyone drink that much MD20-20!! But he left the bar alone. I don't know anything about the twisted burnt out GeezerGlide in National City or anything about the 15 and 60 year old hookers or the missing Llamas from the San Diego Zoo. And I especially don't know nothin' about any "Jerry Garcia Lives" 100 ft high flaming letters on the hillside near La Jolla."
