Eh.

To me, a lifelong Virginian, I have never, not once, even considered riding without a helmet. This bill means nothing to me, as it would not have changed my habits in the slightest.

I don't think the supposed burden of unrecoverable motorcycling head injury victims on the state's services or finances is large enough to base the decision on. It's a political and idealogical struggle.

I empathize with the riders chafing under the intrusion the helmet laws make on their freedom to decide this for themselves. I'm sorry some are denied the apparently enjoyable experience of riding without a helmet. I guess I'm saying I'd support such a bill.

It just isn't a cause I'm passionately committed to, because I'm always going to wear a helmet.
