AHHHH - I can't view large pics! I get an error saying "Please register for a premium account with Motorcycle.Com to view large format images." I just bought a damn subscription a few weeks ago!!! Now I have to buy another? (Yes I am logged in)... What is a Premium account and how do I register? Do I have to buy another subscription? Once logged in, I can't even find anywhere to access my account profile or anything. O - Wait - I found it. But it says I have to pay another $11.99 to become a Premium Member. I just bought my subscription at the beginning of June! MO 2.0 - The Teething Continues...

Please help!
i have the exact same issue mate ... I have replied to similar threads on this forum and PM'd Duke ....sadly, ot seems it has all fallen on deaf ears ....??!!

Id like to know ... i cant even find any explanation as to what the 'levels' of membership actually offer ... ?

[cross figers] hopefully i dont have to pay again.....

I'm an old bastard and I like my coffee in the morning. I like my coffee cup where I left it, the coffee pot in the same place on the counter, the coffee filters in the right level of the right cabinet. I like the creamer left next to the coffee pot. Now, someone went and rearranged the kitchen. Hell, it doesn't even look like the same house any more. And they went and hid the coffee to boot. I might just try the coffee shop across the street.

I seem to have less problems at home (Mac G5/ OS X/ Safari/ cable modem)than I do at work (WinTel box through a Barracuda network filter - probably the culprit). But who's got time when they're home - that's when I'm busy.

Honestly, I am so frustrated trying to get from point A to point B I may just come back in a few weeks and see if things are any better then.

There's no SEARCH function in any section other than the Forums. If I wanted to lookup "Dainese" to see if you reviewed a jacket, for example, I'd be screwed. All that wonderful content and no way to access it...
We're working on that, guys! There are literally hundreds of tweaks we're making to MO 2.0 that are going to address many of the issues you are having.

As for the differentiation between levels of members in the Forum, it's like this:

Founding Member: Was at one point a MO subscriber.
Premium Founding Member: Was a current MO subscriber at the time of MO 2 launch.
Premium Member: Someone who subscribed post-MO 2 launch.

Past subscribers (Founding Members) receive a Founding Member tag/medallion, a large avatar, a signature image, a custom user title and a private storage space where they can store up to 500 messages.

Existing subscribers (whether Premium Founding Member or Premium Member) get the all the stuff above plus a bunch of other goodies:

- Unique MO Member Name
- Higher res pics and video
- Exclusive content features
- MO vendor and merchandise discounts
- MO newsletter with special offers
- Premium Member tag
- Premium Member forum access
- Soon, a motorcycle.com email address

The only difference in status between a Premium Founding Member and a Premium Member is that a non-Founding reader doesn't get the Founding Member forum tag.

As for the problems some of you are having with your forum status, I've passed these issues on so they can be resolved as soon as possible.

Sorry for this tardy response, but rest assured it's only because we've got our hands full while we address the major issues with the site. Hang in there! -Kevin

Regarding the forum status of some of you, I've been advised to direct you to the Contact Us link at the bottom-right corner of every MO editorial page. That way each issue can be logged so we can better address your individual concerns. I've also pointed our ace forum tech head, Steve, in the direction of this thread.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this transitional period.

"Premium Founding Member: Was a current MO subscriber at the time of MO 2 launch." This is me - I subscribed a few weeks before the MO 2.0 launch, but it lists me as a "Founding Member", so I don't have access to the high res photos, etc. I guess I'll do the "Contact Us" thing in case there is an admin glitch with my account status.

Thanks;

The easiest way I've found so far is to mark all forums read and then click on New Posts instead of Today's Posts. There's a lot less to scroll through that way.

But yeah I agree with the rest of it. We should have news topics in chronological order so we can all fight in the same room.
That works slightly acceptably - until new "Old Topics" are brought online; then you're left with 27 pages of "New" Topics.................

I really enjoy the new site, but I have a problem that I hop someone can help me with. I used to be able to get an RSS feed of the news forum on my Yahoo home page. That RSS feed no longer works. Any ideas on how to fix this?

MO 2.0 is sexy, but there's a problem...

MO is one of the 7 or 8 sites that I have set up in a "check daily" bookmarks group, which I "open all in tabs" every day after work. With the old MO, there was often a new picture on the front page (even if it pointed to a week old bike review) and the new News items were listed right there on top. In other words, it seemed fresh on most days.

Now with MO 2.0, I've been looking at that same goddamn Duc 1098 since launch day. In fact, pretty much everything looks unchanged from day to day. I have to scroll down to see the "Latest News Box" before I can get excited. Anyway, it just doesn't have the same dynamic qualities it used to have with the front page arranged as it is now.

Speaking of me being excited and dynamic, the other day I was stopped at a light on my Trophy, and this african-american girl with an absolutely perfect, petite body in tight jeans, riding a yellow mid-90's FZR (I think) pulled up next to me. Sexiest thing I've ever seen. Made me forget about all those ugly lesbians my ex-wife hangs out with. I get dynamic just thinking about it.

Patience, my web-weary friends! You will be seeing a new bike test every Wednesday for the rest of time, and it will rotate into the top spot on the home page. A couple of snafus meant that Pete's review of the K1200R Sport scheduled to go up on 6/27 has been delayed, but it should be up later today.

Also in the MO processor is a report from the Laconia bike rally and a look at the 2008 Suzuki lineup, both of which are still in the process of loading.

The concern about being aware of new stories is being addressed by the upcoming implementation of a Latest Articles component on the home page, which will make it much easier to keep track of what we've been posting.

Again, I beg of you to remain patient with us as we work out the kinks of MO:2. We're listening, we're revising and we're working our pitiful little tails off. I assure you that we'll soon become a smooth-running machine and a lot less buggy.

It has been about a week now since I posted and submitted a request using the "Contact Us" link requesting the status of my subscription be corrected to "Premium Member". I have had no reply at all. I'm wondering what the point of subscribing was if I cannot access the premium content...
