Re: Economics for dummies Take 10

Oh, yeah, right. I forgot I'm an idiot.

Although, logically, if I'm accused of being an idiot by someone like KP, might that indeed make me the smartest person in the universe?

Let's ponder that.

Of course socialism set him off. His boy Kerry has the number one ranking for positive voting on liberal issues, yet is trying to position himself as a moderate. Too bad that even so called moderates on our new politcal yard stick are also flaming socialists, just witness Bush's no child left behind, medicare presciptions for the the elderly, and his call for increasing the "legal" number of Mexican immigrants programs.

Do us all a favor pdad, and just ignore Kp's idiotic trolls. If he just keeps talking to himself perhaps he will be ensnared by Bush's proposed mental health screening boondogle. VWW

As I am sure someone else has pointed out, motorcycles are looked at differently in Europe than the states. Bikes don't have the same "Outlaw" or "Racer Squid" image in Europe.

I spent over 8 years in Europe, and, for them, it's perfectly OK to ride a 500 twin that goes 100 MPH max. They also like utility more than we do, hence the proliferation of small standards and enduro-tourers.

On the plus side, we have a lot more cruisers, and bikes are generally cheaper in the states.

Re: Bonnie's are cruisers

Sorry if it offends, but I have to place the current Bonne into the cruiser category.

The current Bonnie riding position is very much a copy of the last of the Meriden Bonnies. My own 1970 came with a high rise US Spec bar to appeal to the cruiser rider - that word wasn't used then.

Some of us, a small minority, replaced the high US bar with a European style low bar to return the bike to the proper riding position of the early Triumphs. To this day most old Brit bike riders retain the high US bar.

I find the Hinckley Bonnies, to ride just like the old Triumphs, very comfortable at low speeds (70 now versus 60 then). And when I'm about done riding motorcycles, I'm going to sell off all my bikes except my '70 and buy a new Hinckley Bonne.

Great. Kook's progeny (or perhaps the milkman's) are going to go to Yale. Seeing that Yale has given us such deep thinkers such as Bush/Kerry I'm quite sure that those children, what ever the source of the seed that impregnated Ms. Kook, will after years of Kp's tutelage fit right in.

Re: There you go again. Go deeper in your analysis. Don't take the Fox way out.

I think he should come on the Alaska trip with longride and me. We'd be happy to take him for a ride.

OK, fair enough. The Bonne is not a cruiser. I just never hear the name "standard" anymore.

I think the next wave in motorcycling may be streamliners - high performance scooters with motorcycle wheels and nearly completely enclosed, and maybe even air conditioning. The laid-back riding position will continue to appeal to us older guys. The problem is we can't lean forward anymore. And it isn't just the stomach that gets in the way, if you know what I mean. I'll leave it at that.

Until your buddy socialists that control education simply tweak the scores so that everybody is a "genius". Give everyone who takes the test a score of 30,000,000! That'll help their self-esteem! Who cares if they can even read?

No one believes anything you say. No one. You admitted that you purposefully lie to achieve your aims. So spare us any more of your lies.

No one believes you. No one.

It's a badge of honor. Sort of like being called arrogant by the French or being called a warmonger by the Germans.

Freud's favorite case

Today he is "Baby Boomer Kook". Tomorrow he might be "GenX Kook" again. You need a scorecard to keep track of the multiple personalities.

Unfortunately he's always "Dumb as a rock Kook".
