Re: Yamaha Shows invisible cylinder wall V-Max Concept to ''Gauge Response''

Wow, See-thru cylinders! Let's see Suzuki copy that.

Re: Crazy ideas? Speak for yourself Famous seruzawa quotes

As usual his response is entirely made up of distortions and outright lies. There's really no point in trying to have a dialogue because any attempt to respond only gets more lies and distortions in return. I guess he's constantly trying to prove himself "right" in order to silence the cacaphony of voices in his head.

Re: Crazy ideas? Speak for yourself Famous seruzawa quotes

I learned that years ago, when he said my SV-650 vs ZX-6R torque comparison was wrong, then proceeded to quote figures from a latest-generation ZX-6R vs - a first generation SV.

He's got that Winston Smith view of the truth. He'll tell you 2 + 2 = 5, and he'll believe it, too.

i don't like it but i don't really know why.

but to be fair, the old v-max never really appealed to me either. too much effort made to make the bike kinda non-useful. no fuel capacity, mediocre handling, lack of comfort ... all of which could have been easily fixed.

the new one is more of the same. a show-boat engine and not much else.

Re: Yamaha, Here's a Novel Idea

"Aggressive Ugliness is not The Look this century."

You obviously missed the Acura concept at the LA Auto Show.

Actually, consider yourself lucky on that front.

Really, lots of previously pleasant stuff seems to be getting downgraded and/or replaced by the march of the God-awful. It's the kind of thing that makes me think of the line in "The Matrix" where Morpheus is musing on how things just don't seem right.

Now, Let's face the truth everyone. This bike is just plain ugly !

Uglier than the original, which I liked somewhat - honest bike when it came along. Don't care if this concept bike wheelies for miles or gets through the quarter mile in less than 8 sec. It is about the only bike I would not like to be seen riding ! It is that ugly; a complete mess!

Yamaha are out of their shoes if they think this thing will catch on ! But That engine is still quite appealing. Now if Yamaha can design a nice and aggressive frame and body to put in this engine, buyers will follow.

In the meantime, Yamaha should take a look at what Suzuki did with the M109.... At least it doesn't look as a prop taken from Mad Max !
