How about a half or bikini faired version of the 919. One can even get the bandit in "S" form. Then the Honda would be pretty close to the perfect bike and more than ample competition to the FZ1 and ZRX1200R, not to mention a few more "exotic" nameplates.

I am more than willing to sacrifice a little beauty for some function (wind protection on long rides). Being that there seems to be comfort built in on this bike, it wouldn't make sense to not be able to ride it for more than 15 minutes without getting tired, sore and windburnt. Which would make any length of touring impossible for a bike that seems more than capable. I agree that a bikini fairing in the vein of the ZRX would be the way to go though. As long as it functionally blocks out the wind.

1. What you see are not actually the mufflers. The exhaust system is covered with thorough heat shielding so as not to make the passenger uncomfortable.



P.S. Anyone heard, perhaps, about a bikini faired version, or at least some form of wind protection?

Stick with the A.C.E. as I personally think it is styled better with its sweet classic look, it has the much sought after V-Twin character, and will be less overwhelming for you due to the fact that it has more of it's power down low in the rev range and less of a hit on top. The Magna's motor is based on, and very similar to the Interceptor of two model redesigns ago.

Not to mention, twins are more inexpensive to insure than four cylinders which should ease the pain on your pocketbook.
