Looks like that Union organizing stuff that works pretty good in prosperous times but doesn't work worth spit in a recession. HD'll move the plant to "right-to-work" Kentucky anyhow. Wanna bet?

This is happening all over. New York and California with their overtly anti-business political structures are collapsing economically. States like Utah and Texas with more business friendly environments are reaping big gains from those kicked-in-the-head States.

Idiotic statements like that show that people really don't understand the concept of LIBERTY.

There's no such thing as raping your customer. If people willingly walk in and pay the price, whatever that price may be, it's a total expression of Liberty in a free society.

Does Ferrari rape it's customers?

The only thing that can "rape" you is the gov't. It's all done by force.
The only way you can "rape" customers is to set up a protected monopoly. The only real way you can do that in the USA is to get the govt to pass laws protecting your business from competition. Sort of like the medical industry, education and other govt protected operations that charge to moon for poor service and bad results. Naturally to feel protected from getting "raped" the simple minded run to the govt to protect them.

What they represent is why Unions are still needed today after all those abuses supposedly went away. Sad isn't it?
Maybe but life is tough and the only way to ensure your own success is to pay constant attention and take personal responsibility for every aspect of your life. If you wait for someone else to make you successful you are doomed to disappointment. You know this. I know this. Many don't. Hence all the whining when someone thinks he's a victim. Maybe if one doesn't want to be stuck in a crappy job at a big box store he could do something else instead of settling for a crap job.

I've done damm well by avoiding unions. I refuse to be placed in the same pay scale with lazy slobs who rely on others to do the work and get the same remuneration.

It doesn't matter if they are stuck at some crappy job. The same basic laws shoould be applied equally. It isn't a matter of job status, but fairness and following the laws. If companies won't do it, then someone needs to do it for them. Big boxes are hardly the only ones that skirt the law. The way they all were doing it in Illinois was to make everyone a salaried worker. That way they could avoid all the overtime laws. Illinois has since changed the law so they can't dodge that one. I never knew a company that had a Union rammed down their throat. The ones that got them easily deserved them with the crap they pulled. Don't want a Union? Then quit screwing the employees! Checks and balances works for me. Been on both sides of the table.
And how does one make sure the laws are followed? Not by sitting on one's butt and letting someone else do it all for him. What happens is the workers get canned but the union officials keep their jobs. Just ask the air traffic controllers. Gotta pay attention in life or you get run over.

The biggest abuser of employees is the gov't of course. I've got some friends who work for the Post office ( not mail carriers). Long hours and Soviet=like conditions.
I hear that the employees at the Ogden IRS Center have the highest rate of psychiatric drug use of any agency. Not surprising. How can one do such a job and sleep at night?

he was raped hog tied, no lube no reach arround raped
14K for a sportster = rape
cashing out 401K for any motorcycle = stupidity
Rape is when you are forced. I doubt that you would blink at selling some guy your current bike for $25K if some nut ran up with the cash and begged you to sell it to him. no one forced these clowns to give HD dealers thousands over MSRP. Just like no one forced people to give more than MSRP for new Thunderbirds or Priusii.

No one forced any of these people. They weren't raped. They were idiots.

There are 300 million people in the USA. You'll never have a problem finding idiots galore on a daily basis.

Rape is when you buy something and later find hidden costs that the seller withheld from you. Like not mentioning to BMW buyers that the factory service will cost over a grand each and lying to them and telling them that they will lose their warranties if they don't have their service done at a certified BMW dealer. That's rape.

interesting to hear from the inside I wonder if he dumped it would he get the 14K he paid or the 10K they shoulda sold it to him for? But with those loose lending criteria, if you dont qualify your lucky to have food on the table, and at those rates anyone would be a fool to borrow
He would get whatever the insurance value is for the bike according to his policy. This would be book value for the bike plus whatever extra coverage he bought for accessories, etc, no matter what he gave the dealer.

Happens all the time. Talk to any car owner who had a new car stolen.

This is fun! We haven't had one of these for months.

So...how 'bout that Global Warming? Didya get your Kookmail today? Faux News reports that Global Warming is Real and Inevitable.

Talk amongst yourselves.
So, since Democrats think that Fox News is a lying propaganda arm of the evil Republican Party then since Fox News says global warming is real then liberals must conclude that Global Warming is false.

This makes my brain hurt. I'm sure glad that I'm neither a Democrat or a Republican. The mental gymnastics required to support either Party are fantastic.
