God I have been waiting for this bike for a year and a half. Finally, first post too!

Steven, it's just a matter of an accumulation of painful encounters of various parts of the motor with my shins. The black potentiometer box on the throttle body left a nice dent on a shin once. Not being used to having cylinders down there means that more than once I just kicked the cylinders with my shins (again) when lowering a foot at stop lights. Guess that my long legs don’t help here and that you can get used to that in the end (or always wear extra long boots). Cheers, Y.
In my experience, naked sport-tourers are better for the longer distances than faired sportbikes. You get more room to move around, the pillion ergos are usually lots better, giving you a happy passenger at the end of the day, plus you can watch the scenery, which is part of touring, right? The only modification you have to make is to fit a small screen - enough to take the 90mph winblast off your chest but still leaving your head in the airstream. I've done a lot of two-up touring over the years, and for my money the naked bike with a small screen and hard bags wins every time.
I'm getting concerned about your physionomy, Yossef. We've traded comments before about Guzzis we have known and loved, and whereas I've never found the shin-to-cylinder interface on boxers a problem ( I'm six-four with a thirty-four inseam) I was constantly having my kneecaps levered off by the Guzzi's rocker boxes. Do the hinges in your knees fold the other way, or something?

The Breva hasn't reached the UK yet, other than in magazines, but I saw one in the metal for the first time in France two weeks ago. It's very impressive, but right now I can't afford one. But if I wait until I can, maybe the new short engine and tranny will have found their way onto the V11 Cafe Sport. Now THAT'S what I want!

Well a VFR isn't full faired. that would be a Gold Wing, not to be snarky. I'm in the school that wind protection on the order of a VFR is necessary. Yossef said in some other review he liikes naked. The first long distance tour I ever took was a V7 Sport from the midwest to the Rockies. I vowed never again to ride accross the plains without a windscreen or fairing..

I have a ZZR1200. Am probably going to get a V Strom next. So it looks like we think the same. Almost got a current gen LeMans, but couldn't do it, because of all the drawbacks now addressed. If Guzzi survies long enough to transfer this stuff to a LeMans I might get that other Guzzi I always promised myself. Hope it has a better looking and better fairing too.

I see your point on the full fairing of a Goldwing. I guess it is just a matter of opinion, but to me -

upper fairing + lower fairing = full fairing

upper only = half faired

Not to be snarky ;)

Me thinks a Gold Wing is something of a super fairing.

Yossef does yet another fine job. Can't wait to see this bike stateside. I'm looking for a cruiser and had my eyes on this bike since 2003. I would like to see it with luggage. Funny how we all love the Guzzi but not the HD. :)
So, if it's a 2005 Guzzi, we'll see it in 2007....
I like the possibilities of a similar Lemans, but I'm wondering if Guzzi figured out how to properly wire an electrical system...also I remember all of the problems with their first 6-speed gearbox.

It might be smart to wait a year or two...
I can see Farmer Hoggett riding this bike and saying, "That'll do Breva." At last, a no-excuses Guzzi. Give me a few months to save up and I'll be right there.
Okay, guys, be honest. How many of us had to look up the word "haptic"?
Anyone know of dimensions compared to the r1200r??? Looking at that one and at 80 pounds dry weight less and 10 more hp 15 more tq the Bmr looks great on paper. The GT1000 makes my ...hard Decisions decisions I have yossef long legs so it wont be too hard when I test ride these bad boys. Heart says DUC but mind says Bmr too expensive though!! Hmm decisions decisions
